The clinic is awesome the eye clinic has a couple less than nice people working there. They also had the wrong glasses sent to us. The frames are cheap and troubles with the screws, the lenses popping out and arms breaking. So much stress.
The VA clinic has been very good to my father. I have gone to multiple appointments with him. The staff are wonderful. They have helped us with durable medical equipment. I have heard so many bad things about the VA system, I wanted to take a moment to let people know that has not been our experience. Even the vets will offer to assist when bringing him or trying to transfer him back into the car. Thanks.
Wonderful staff. The Appleton VA has been caring for my father-in-law for decades. They treat him with the utmost respect and concern. He has many, very serious health conditions. He recently came to stay with us, and they walked my husband through every aspect of his care, advised us to throw away all of his old medications and start fresh as many were in bins and not labeled, provided medical devices to help equip our home for showering, using the bathroom etc. and gave him an extremely thorough examination. Dr. B's nurse Bridget also spent a long time on the phone with me, prior to his examination, trying to navigate the health system and discuss what care options were available to him. They helped to arrange for home nursing visits, and adjusted his medications so they would all be covered under the very low VA copays. My husband was so relieved and has repeated numerous times that this is how healthcare SHOULD BE! I get it, it is easy to complain about the VA, because they are underfunded, understaffed and it can be a lengthy process to get established in the system because there are so many people seeking care and they are overwhelmed with admissions. Once you have been assigned a doctor though, it seems the service and care are very good. Our experience has far exceeded that. It has been well beyond what we could even hope for. Thank you Dr. B, and Bridget, for making a very difficult undertaking a much smoother transition.
Been going here since I got out in 2008. Great staff and service. Could use an MRI machine and emergency care.
Great people here to help us Veteran's.
