Ended up buying a pair and I had to ask the cashier for my receipt.
I came to get some new shoes. The whole shoe section was a disaster area. No I am not over exaggerating. The carpet was filthy, with paper, trash, shoes, and more everywhere.
I found a pair to try on and had to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to come out of the back. There were other customers waiting too. I asked to get a shoe to try on and he brought out the wrong color. Then I waited longer for them to find the right one. They were marked the wrong size on the clearance sticker.
I have shop at at Yonkers for 15 years I don't even want to shop here anymore the staff is so rude and stuck up I go to a different one appleton one just getting worse
I was in line in the shoe department and was asked to leave the line to go to a different register. Not nicely either, there's no reason I should have to leave the line I chose to go to. This was maybe a month ago. Today I went in line by the womens pajamas to return an item and was asked to go to a different register AGAIN. I swear its a hit or miss with the workers they hire. Either theyre wonderful or extremely rude. You should never ask the customer to chose a different register. Like what? Unfortunately, most of the time I faced the rude employees over the nice ones.
The workers were very lazy and were not helpful at all. I bought someone should know that the shoe department looks like a tornados ripped through. I won't be going back to this younkers.
After being a loyal Younkers shopper since 1982, I am extremely disappointed in their attention to customer issues and/or complaints. After making numerous phone calls and writing letters of explanation, I have become frustrated beyond words being disallowed without warning or reason from making any returns via in store or on line, or exchanges for another size. I have always had my receipts and tickets attached. All purchases were made with my Younkers credit card. We are a few weeks before Christmas and I am in a terrible dilemma with gifts that are not the correct size or no longer appropriate and cannot return them for other items. A company called Retail Equation is the company apparently hired by Younkers to make these decisions and cannot explain their policy or let me talk to someone such as a supervisor who would perhaps have some better explanation. I am quite frantic as Younkers has been my "go to" store for many years always being happy with their quality and selection. My previous on-line orders have consisted of being sent items that were completely different than were ordered. Even though this was completely the mistake of Younkers, I am unable to return any on-line orders as well. I will no longer be a returning customer of Younkers. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
Phony sales, coupons with multiple exceptions, sales clerks hiding between the racks. Clearly posted discounts are denied at the check-out. A trainewreck of a place!
