bought a TRU elliptical machine middle of Sept '17. (more than $3,000) paid for delivery, installation and removal of old unit. their sub-contract installers don't seem to be able actually get the product and deliver it to me. after multiple cancellations on installers part i went to the store to complain since there is no way to talk to a live person on the phone at this place. no one ever answers the phone and you get voicemail, then no one calls you back. while at the store i did get to talk to a manger who gave me a cell phone number that no one answers and have to leave voice mails. so anyway this manager says someone will call me on Monday since its a Saturday after 12:00 and there is no one available to talk to delivery service. on Monday lo and behold some manager named Selana calls me and says my machine will be delivered and installed this week Friday. yahoo, i ask for phone numbers to get back to people if there is a problem Selana gives me her number and the phone number for the person who is to do delivery and install. on Tuesday i get message from sears delivery service that really my delivery is now schedule for the following week Friday. this being really disappointing i try to call the manager back on provided number to find out the number is no good, then i call the delivery guy and that phone number is no good also. this is such terrible customer service that i should not be surprised Sears is reportedly having such bad financial problems. so then i get a text today from sears delivery service that they cannot even make the following Friday but now its the Monday after. i just want to cry. currently going to take 6 weeks minimum to get the machine, i should just go to store and get a refund and then buy from amazon. it will cost an extra $500 but at least i know ill get the machine.
Staff is NO where to be found! Walk the entire store to find on check out, and are told "Check in that DPT there should be someone there".. Agree there should be, but NEVER is....
A new low for sears. Went in to pickup oil filter and some misc items for lawn mower. Sticker on filters says to ask for assistance. Spend 5 min trying g to find someone only for them to tell they have sold out and are not sure when more will arrive. Why wast my time? Also the lady told me snotty like that they are not the only place that sells the filter... that's KS for the reminder I will get it cheaper somewhere else.
I recently bought a miter saw June 25th. After using it, I learned by a side by side comparison, that it's the same as the one sold at harbor freight. Even the styrofoam packaging is identical. I tried to return it on Aug 27th because I thought craftsman tools were quality, and I didn't want china junk. I would have done it earlier but I had a kid shortly after purchase and I wasn't in a hurry because I was obviously busy now and figured returning it should be not big deal as long as I didn't wait 11 months. Boy was I wrong. They only have a 30 day return policy and aren't willing to budge whatsoever. Who has a 30 day return policy? Even harbor freight, the cheapest of the cheap, has a 90 day policy. Based on how empty the store and parking lot were on a weekend and given sears recent slumping sales, they need every customer they can get; and now they have one less. I spoke with the manager and asked if they are willing to lose a customer forever over a $120 sale. Apparently they have no problem with that. In a economy that is becoming more and more service based, this store's terrible ability to keep customers happy will spell its demise soon. Don't for a second think they value you as a customer. Spend your money someplace that appreciates your business.
You cannot call and get a hold of anyone at the Appleton store. The service is equally as bad. Bought a house full of appliances at Sears. The washer was faulty and damaged my laundry room. 4 hours to get resolution on standing water. I would give less than a 1 if I could.
