Thankyou so very much for your truly supportive intake workers. This was a truly exceptionally hard decision for me with my baby girl "Kid" today and your kindness and compassion for both me and my baby will NEVER be forgotten. Truly a special place.

Thank you so much for Molly! For the past year now, she's been the little clown this house needed. Your facility was clean, and I was delighted by your practice of allowing her time with my other dog before the adoption. You make adoption easy and stress-free! Thanks!

Lots of pups. Tons of cats, and a handful of kittens. Staff was nice. Ask them to play with the animals

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!! Fox Valley Humane Association is INFESTED with PARASITES!!! I adopted a pup that had been diagnosed and treated for Coccidia two weeks before I rescued her. According to the paperwork, she was not the only one infested. Dogs get this parasite from having contact with an infected dog's feces.. Then, after bringing her home and noticing multiple bald patches emerging over the weeks, I bring her to my vet only to find out she's also infested with demodex MITES. Again, she was not the only one. A friend's colleague from work adopted a pup from the same location and around the same time I did, her pup is also losing it's fur.. Fox Valley Humane Association is extremely unsanitary and is haphazardly putting the animals at risk for infestations. Clearly, their vets are not performing adequate examinations of the animals before sending them out to potential adopters. Personally, I find this very upsetting due to the fact that a thorough examination isn't being given when it's supposedly included in the adoption fee.

We went and picked out a dog on a Saturday and put in an application for her. We were so excited to add her to our family! We were told she was on hold for us and we had until Tuesday (today) at closing time to get her. Well, got a call and they gave her to ANOTHER family! How disheartening! Their process for adoption makes no sense and apparently their staff doesn't know how the process works to have given us different information than the girl I spoke with today. For instance, they put our application into a "pool" of applicants after telling us she was on hold for us. Then they choose the right family from the "pool" according to the interactions with the dog, however, they just brought the dog in and out and never saw us interact with her. We took her for a walk outside, etc. Very disheartening! I would not recommend adopting from them until they get their policies straight and employees trained.
