Again, this is a great place if you are in perfect health and just want a primary care doctor because you have health insurance. If you have actual health issues of any kind, stay away.
Stay Away!!!
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. I am a cancer survivor, with a single kidney and past heart issues. I was new to the area and needed a new primary doctor. At my visit the receptionist was very kind. After going back to the room to be examined the doctor came in and told me that my previous doctor had no records of me ever being there. I knew this was false. I called my previous doctor right there and proved to her that there was a file. I asked to have a pap done because it had been 2 years. She said we usually do them every 3. Okay fine. I then asked to have my blood work done to make sure that my one kidney was working properly and to check my thyroid. I was told that I should have scheduled my appointment earlier in the day because the blood bank already came for the day. I had a 4pm appointment! The doctor then told me, "Well I refilled your prescription so I guess we will see you in a year. Bye!" She saw 4:30pm and wanted to go home. With my background I have gone to ALOT of doctors and this was by far the most unprofessional, heartless place I have ever been to. I didn't feel cared for and I have already scheduled another appointment with a different hospital because this one did not provide an adequate examination.
Very poor patient treatment when talking to any receptionist there and no proactive health planning. Simple things like not providing your name when I call are one of the many small rude gestures they make. This seems somewhat nitpicky, but if I'm giving you my medical history and information over the phone, I would like to know who I am speaking to. Normally this would not bother me so much if the doctors there were top notch to make up for that.
The experience I've had with my primary care physician has been very standoffish and they have not done much to take care of me. I feel like I am doing the majority of my own health care. I will likely move to another doctor since they are certainly not fulfilling my needs. I could only see this place being good for someone if they are perfectly healthy and never need to go to the doctor for anything more than the occasional antibiotic or pain med. They do not show any real proactive care and put up a wall if you do not have 100% detailed information about your medical history. What 20 something year old is keeping a portfolio of their health care history? If you do not do this to their appeasement, they treat you like you're wasting their time and do their best to get you out of the clinic with a recommendation of supplements. They make no kind of plan with you, no goals - nothing. You basically have to walk in after doing research on what you think you need and ask them what they think of it and be insanely adament about what you would like done. If you aren't, they simply get you out the door and won't follow up with you for months to a year. I understand this is the gist of primary care, but it's like you're talking to a wall when you're there. This turns into you calling them repeatedly to get back in and wasting more and more money trying to get treatment. Trying to get scans or any kind of care beyond a physical checkup is like pulling teeth.
Half the nurses there are incredibly disrespectful and rush you around without concern for your problems, and there's only one competent doctor there (if your lucky enough for him to be in that day you might have a chance of seeing him) and the other doctor prescribed me two conflicting medications (an upper and a downer) which after some further research can be very dangerous and lead to seizures and heart attacks. Luckily I took them far enough apart and only felt extremely light headed/out of it and immediately did research after feeling this way leading me to discover that the two medications have severe conflict with each other, as documented on just about every site that I saw. I called them and they blew me off, saying oh it might be a good idea not to take the second medication, and quickly hung up. I'm glad I was smart enough to research my own medication and had doubt's in their doctors. Had I taken them at the same time like I was told I could, I'm not sure where I would be today. I felt that there was next to no concern for my safety and well being and will be promptly switching to a different doctor.
$789 for a yearly wellness visit because they refused to bill my insurance company correctly. 5 months and at least 20 calls with the office later, they still don't get that they have to re-bill my insurance company. The nursing staff isn't experience with obese people, I had to get the doctor to take my blood pressure, and an older nurse to take my blood, she struggled and got two vials but really needed three. She didn't realize she needed the third until I was long gone and on my way to work, so I had to turn around and go back. Best of all they actually believe that I will return as if I have no other choice.
Only 1 of the 3 Doctors are conscientious. The staff are completely incompetent and resort to bullying. They think they have the right to dictate your access to medical care and enforce their own billing policies and want to charge you even if your insurance covers the entire visit.
