My first time renting a storage unit. I was met not in the office, but at my Uhaul. I was not shown the unit prior to signing the lease. The lease was signed on the hood of her vehicle while she had someone else waiting in her car. There are uneven gravel grounds to drive to the unit. The unit hadn't been swept out and had a small hole in the tin roof. I think you're paying for the location, because it seemed to be the slum of the storage units. But the owner did call and fired someone for this being the second time they have rented out a unit that needed fixing, so maybe they are headed in the right direction to change that image, but I didn't stick around to find out. They were kind enough to offer to null and void the lease and shred my check.
I just finished my contract with Ballard storage. This was the first time I used a self storage business and was nervous. My first conversation with them was very helpful and they put my mind at ease. They were flexible when it came to meeting me to sign the paper work. Although the business was under construction, I felt like the location was clean, safe and easily accessible. I will rent with them again. Highly recommended!
Not bad storage units with a very convenient location on Ballard Rd, as the last reviewer stated my unit was not clean when I received it, but I also needed a unit right away and they literally just put the door on the day before I rented back in December and I put the blame on the contractor for not cleaning up after themselves after finishing. Since December 2 or 3 rows of units have been built from a poured foundation and I see something new just about every time I go there. There is definitely still work to be done construction wise but it's getting there and they are definitely rentable right now just gravel instead of pavement right now but it will be getting done soon.
